<span class="text-color-accent">Misk Foundation</span> Architectural Series
The Misk Foundation in Saudi Arabia commissioned me to create a series of documentary films about the exciting and iconic buildings being created in Mohammed Bin Salman Non Profit City near Riyadh. Working with esteemed Vision 2030 ambasador Dr Alaa Al-Ban, I was responsible for shaping a discussion between her and the lead architect for each project at their practices in Winchester & Edinburgh.
Each shoot took one day and comprised a staged discussion between the Dr Al-Ban and the architect discussing how the design process evolved to meet the buildings uniqe purpose whilst also embracing Saudi culture. Under my direction, the content was shaped to be accessible, emotive and relevant to the stakeholders, investors and potential occupants of these buildings in the future.
The remaining part of the shoot consisted of directed b-roll, creating animated and engaging visuals that one might expect to see in an architectural practice. Albeit the reality is a little more static and desk bound! I chided numerous staff to participate to ensure an abundance of material which we could intercut with the curated dialogue. The result was very satisfying!
