<span class="text-color-accent">Back From</span> The Brink
Anyone who has faced adversity will be able to relate to the stuggle and the despair that life has gotten out of control. Often we need help, but don't even know it. Back From The Brink is a documentary series designed to bring hope and inspiration to anyone who has faced the edge. It is also compelling drama in which we all root for the underdog.
I approached life coach and former TV presenter Beverley Hills to develop this idea as a pitch. I scripted the intro which she liked and recorded as a voice over. I then shot footage with her in Ramsgate interacting with selected individuals. It was nice working with Bev again who had been my script supervisor at Marchmont Films.
Back in the studio we intercut the footage with source material to provide a taste of what the series might be like. I also received support from tutors at the National Film & TV School, where I had previously worked and attended classes. I am proud of this pitch and hope to develop it as a TV series in the near future.
