When I was commissioned to fly out to Mallorca to create a wedding film for a VIP client, I wasn't told who they were until I arrived. All I knew was they wanted an experienced filmmaker who could did justice to their special celebration. In anticipation I decided to take a navy trained drone pilot as part of my crew.
Upon arrival, I was briefed the client was a premiere league footballer. As someone who doesn't follow football, I admit I wasn't quite as excited as my crew were. However I focussed my enthusiasm on the storytelling.
The island is beautiful and we filmed events in several stunning locations. The drone was employed to capture some wonderful material, but as always, its the personal and the detail that matters most. I am glad to say we created a spectacular, yet personal film, that absolutely delighted our VIP couple.
